The pinnacle of the junior club swimming calendar has arrived. Swim Ulster is pleased to announce the official schedule and venues for this year’s AquaSprint Divisional Finals.
Following a highly competitive league season, young swimmers from across the province are preparing for the final galas of the year. Action will take place across five regional venues, showcasing the depth of talent and team spirit in junior swimming. While every division promises excellent racing, the spotlight this year falls firmly on Division 1, where the league’s top-tier clubs will compete for the overall championship.
Division 1: The Title Race in Lisburn
Venue: Lagan Valley Leisureplex, Lisburn
As the premier tier of the AquaSprint league, Division 1 brings together the fastest junior squads in Ulster. The Lagan Valley Leisureplex will host two highly anticipated sessions:
- B Final (Warm-up: 12:45pm): Sliabh Beagh and Portadown face off in a direct dual meet. Both teams have demonstrated impressive depth this season, making this a crucial opening session.
- A Final (Warm-up: 15:30pm): The headline event features a three-way battle between Ards, Bangor, and Banbridge. With very little separating these clubs throughout the season, the title fight will likely come down to the key relay events.
Division 2: Newry Leisure Centre
Newry will host a competitive field as these clubs look to assert their dominance.
- B Final (Warm-up: 12:45pm): Ballymena v Limavady
- A Final (Warm-up: 15:30pm): Lisburn v Alliance v Lurgan
Division 3: Dungannon Leisure Centre
Dungannon welcomes a strong lineup of clubs ready to contest the Division 3 titles.
- B Final (Warm-up: 12:45pm): Dungannon v Coleraine
- A Final (Warm-up: 15:30pm): Lecale v Larne v Leander
Division 4: South Lake Leisure Centre, Craigavon
The modern South Lake facility will host the Division 4 three-way final during the late afternoon session.
- A Final (Warm-up: 16:30pm): Armagh v Swim Belfast v Cookstown
Division 5: Omagh Leisure Centre
The final tier heads west to Omagh, offering the next generation of club swimmers an excellent platform to finish their season on a high.
- A Final (Warm-up: 15:30pm): Breifne v Belfast Olympia v Swilly Seals
