Friday 24 July marks Day 1 of competition, with eight swimmers from the squad in the pool across seven individual events and a women’s relay.
After a taper week built around travel, recovery and race-pace sharpening, Team NI’s swimmers get their Glasgow 2026 campaign off the blocks today. The morning session brings a mix of relay heats and individual swims, with several athletes hopeful to be back in the water for semi-finals and finals this evening.
Morning Heats
The day opens with the Women’s 4x100m Freestyle Relay heat, where a quartet of Team NI athletes line up together.
